We break down each program into Phases.  Below you can see how the program works if you enter Cosmetology.

Phase One:  1 – 150 Clock Hours

Upon entering the cosmetology field you will be learning the basics of hair shaping, styling, coloring, permanent waving, skin care, and nails. You will be taught with other Phase One students, step by step procedures to do each service.

Phase Two:  151 – 1000 clock hours

After completing Phase One you will be assigned to the clinic (salon) area of your school.  You will be performing services on clients, who are allowing you, the practicing professional, to perform services with the supervision of your licensed instructor.  You will learn how to do client consultations and practice each beauty service.  This is when you will master your speed and manual dexterity.

Phase Three:  1001 – 1500 Clock Hours

The final stage of your preparation is preparing for the state licensing exam.  You will take and pass a written and practical exam to gain your license from the state of Texas.

All Phases:  1 – 1500 Clock Hours

You will attend theory class every day for one hour.  This will be in a traditional classroom setting with a textbook and workbook.  The remainder of your day will be spent working hands-on, either on a mannequin or an actual client.
